Norwegian Foot March

History and Overview

The Norwegian Foot March, also known as Marsjmerket, is a 18.6 mile long-distance march typically conducted by military personnel. Participants must complete the march carrying a weighted 25lb dry rucksack within a specified time limit in accordance to their gender and age group.

Since its inception, the Norwegian Foot March has gained popularity among both military and civilian participants, fostering camaraderie and a spirit of friendly competition.
